There’s something undeniably romantic about a Valentine’s Day wedding and we were lucky enough to host a reception in February at the Drake Centre. But what made this celebration so memorable wasn’t just the date, it was the details. It truly was a Valentine's Day wedding reception to remember.
From the moment guests arrived, every element reflected the couple’s story, their values, their relationships, and what mattered most to them. The result wasn’t just a beautiful reception, but an experience that felt unmistakably theirs.
A truly personalized wedding is built through intentional touches woven throughout the evening. For this couple, it started with their biggest priority, getting married and beginning their life together. The focus wasn’t on extravagance, but on meaning.
That mindset carried into every detail. Centered around faith, family, and friends, the celebration felt deeply personal and grounded in what has shaped their lives. One of the most meaningful elements invited guests to sign their names alongside their favorite Bible verses, creating a lasting keepsake filled with love, encouragement, and support. Family photos displayed throughout the space added another layer of connection and warmth.

The bride also brought her creativity to life through thoughtful DIY touches. She designed the table centerpieces, which guests could take home at the end of the evening, and created a romantic sweetheart table backdrop with soft floral swags. These details added a handcrafted feel that made the space even more personal.
The evening balanced heartfelt moments with fun, including a standout surprise during their first dance to “L.O.V.E.” by Nat King Cole. The couple performed a playful routine, spelling out LOVE with their movements. It was a moment that perfectly captured their personalities and had guests smiling.
In the end, this Valentine’s Day wedding was a reminder that the most memorable celebrations are not about doing more. They are about making it personal.
